Kohala Coast

Welcome to Kohala Coast

The Kohala Coast includes Puako, Waikoloa, Waimea, and the unincorporated town of Kawaihae & Kawaihae harbor, Hala’ula, Hawi, & Kapa’au.

Stunning landscapes boast luxury resorts, private oceanside estates, watersports, fine dining, shopping, and world-class golfing. Also known as “golfer’s paradise” this area hosts several courses that have been designed by world-class golf course designers. Here you will find several to choose from.

  1. Mauna Kea course.
  2. Hapuna course.
  3. Mauna Lani North course.
  4. Mauna Lani South course.
  5. Waikoloa beach course.
  6. Waikoloa kings course.
  7.  Waikoloa village course.
One of my favorite places along the Kohala coastline is the Kalajuipua’a Fish Ponds. A beautiful walk takes you through the beach park where you will pass through petroglyph markings and lava tubes, and if you are patient enough you might catch a glimpse of the Moray eel. Always respect the 'Aina (land & creatures) while visiting these beautiful spaces.
