Every time I am in Waimea it reminds me of a picturesque country novel where the love for what's important meets the heart of comfortable living. Waimea hosts arguably most of the best schools on the Island. Along with its innovative educational approach there are many beautiful walking trails, flat paved walkways for casual strolls, a beautiful big playground for all ages. On Wednesday and most weekends year round you will find beautiful farmers markets for all of your home goods. There are many events held at the stadium that bring both educational and competitive entertainment.
Waimea is situated between a dormant volcano with breathtaking views of Mauna Kea. This breezy but beautiful climate is ideal for ranching and farming activities with rolling grass hillsides as far as the eye can see. Waimea is naturally divided by rainfall what we refer to as the "dry side & wet side" The closer you go towards the ocean the dryer and warmer it is. Waimea town situated in the center of town receives a good mix of wind, sun, and rain year round. During winter months when snow falls on the beaks of Mauna Kea you will notice a cooler breeze throughout the valley. Throughout this area you are most likely to find that ideal farm property suitable for cattle and horses. You are only 20 minutes from some of the best beaches & surf on the Island.
